"In the Context of Death" — Short Film
Alex, a 16-year-old facing a sarcoma, worries not about death itself, but being remembered only as “the one who died.” In an effort to preserve something more meaningful, his friends decide on a story to tell when people ask who Alex was. That story is a night when the group of friends biked out to buy PVC pipe and used it to pole vault off a local dock. Told through the perspective of his friend Matt, the memory highlights the moments that define Alex’s character, while still carrying the weight a child feels in the hardships of this situation.

Seeking boy for non-speaking child role’s. Looking for ages 6-12, playing age 6-10, looking for energetic kids, will be playing in a backyard, with a mother figure present in the scene. No prepared dialogue, just general backyard horse-ing around. Will be max 3 hours of shooting, most-likely 2 or less. MUST plausibly look like a younger version of either of this character (see image attached). No professional experience required.
