ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. Seeking teens aages 16+ for YAP TV Series "Prom Date". See the details below. About the project: "Prom Date - a Multiple Choice Adventure" - is more than a web series. It is a scripted, interactive storytelling experience - where the audience shapes a comedic and heartfelt narrative of a high school senior’s unpredictable journey to prom. It features various story branches with multiple endings - some happy, sad, tragic, and awkward - using YouTube's end-screen pop ups to allow the viewer to steer the story. Rate: Non union. The main roles will be paid, while some smaller roles will be volunteer. Rates will vary depend on whether the project remains self-funded or if sponsorship is secured, which directors are actively pursuing. If self-funded, actors for paid roles will receive a guaranteed honorarium - plus deferred fees dependent on the show’s success on our YouTube channel or any potential platform deals. If sponsorship is secured, then rates will increase and deferred payments will be reduced or eliminated. Lead role (Jess) minimum $1000 honorarium. Co-star roles (Steve/Brian/Colt) minimum $400 honorarium. Supporting roles Amber/Sonia/Taylor minimum $200 honorarium. Volunteers (and all cast) will receive custom YAP TV Prom Date hoodies. Jess (17) is fun, sweet, awkward - and desperate for a date to prom. This is the lead role in a wholesome and exaggerated comedy with multiple endings - some happy, some sad, some tragic, and some awkward. The role includes a few kiss scenes - including one with a girl. The actor must be fearless, expressive, uninhibited, and willing to work hard and have fun - while also being charming and adorable.
Crush-worthy, confident, cool, and approachable. The object of Jess's affection. Requires screen kiss.
Classic nerd (and classic cool) - awkward, cringey, at times overly excited, and prone to doing embarrassing things, but with potential to transform into a cool hot guy after a makeover. The actor needs to convincingly play both ends of the spectrum. Requires screen kiss. Dance experience is a bonus but not required.
Charismatic leader of a high school cult. Cool, confident and persuasive. Beneath his charm, however, lies a vengeful side that comes out when he feels betrayed.
Steve’s bitter ex-girlfriend. Fiery and sharp - but with a flirty side.
Additional Character. Amber is a sweet, conflicted girl who got pulled into the high school cult and now feels trapped. She wants to break free but struggles with fear and loyalty. Vulnerable and sympathetic. This role requires a same-sex kiss with Jess.
Jess’s sarcastic and blunt best friend.
Confident and handsome jock who uses his charm to get what he wants. Arrogant and entitled, he tries to take advantage of Jess but ends up getting punched by nerdy Brian.
The ultimate bad boy hottie - rebellious, edgy, and cool. He’s the kind of guy you’re parents warned you about, but can’t help being drawn to.
A sweet nice guy who ends up going to prom alone. He has a vulnerable charm that makes him endearing.
