About the project: Based on the hit movie, the Broadway musical School of Rock is a high-voltage musical comedy about finding your voice. When struggling rocker Dewey Finn poses as a substitute teacher at a prestigious prep school, he transforms a class of straight-A students into a guitar-shredding, bass-slapping rock band—sensationally performed live by the production’s young actors with roof-raising energy. What begins as a wild plan to win a cash prize becomes an unforgettable journey of confidence, creativity, and rock ’n’ roll. With an electrifying score and infectious spirit, this feel-good hit celebrates music, individuality, and staying true to yourself. Additional info: First Rehearsal: March 30, 2027 First Preview: May 4, 2027 Opening Performance: May 7, 2027 Closing Performance: June 27, 2027 Rehearse Tuesday through Saturday—Students may be called in between 4:30 and 9:30 pm Tuesday-Friday and between 10:00 am and 7:30 pm on Saturdays. Tech rehearsals run from 12:00 to 10:00 pm. Performances are typically scheduled as 10:30 am student matinees and 7:00 pm public performances Wednesday-Friday, and 11:00/2:00 or 2:00/5:00 on Saturdays and Sundays. Familiarity with the listed musical instruments is a plus but not required. If you have the instrument associated with the role you are interested in, please bring it to the audition. New girl Tomika is struggling to fit in at Horace Green. She conquers her shyness to reveal her phenomenal singing ability, and becomes a lead vocalist alongside Dewey in the band. Range A3-G5

Flamboyant and artistic, Billy has a passionate interest in fashion, even though his father wants him to be a footballer like the other men in his family. He designs the band’s costumes. Range A3-D5
James is tough and reliable, making him a good security guard for the band. Mostly, he keeps an eye out for anyone coming while the band are secretly rehearsing! Range A3-D5
Sophie is technically one of the band’s roadies, but also serves as a backup dancer for the performances.
