Seeking Young Actors for Student Film "Sabotage"

About the project: Logline: When talented up-and-coming boxer Jade Mercer’s title is challenged by a close friend, the two fighters find themselves navigating personal betrayal and doping scandals in a grisly battle for dominance in their local underground tournament. Synopsis: Sabotage follows a pair of underground fighters who find themselves facing each other in the ring for the first time, neither of whom are happy. Jade, the current reigning champion, fears the rift that may grow between herself and her friend should she win. Maya, the underdog, fears the embarrassment of losing to a close friend. As the match between the two approaches, Maya is offered a mysterious performance-enhancing substance by the girls’ Coach Sean. With the introduction of these drugs, the dynamic in the ring flips on its head. Maya, taking Jade down in dramatic fashion, strips her friend of the title. This defeat sends an injured Jade on a quest to rebuild herself and her reputation in hopes of reclaiming her title. One year later, she faces Maya in a match that will decide much more than the winner of the tournament. Rate: Unpaid; Crafty and meals provided.
