About the project: Logline: The Art of Making Mistakes is a dark comedy that centers on an overproductive father, who’s worked hard to provide for his family, and his son, who’s faced the consequences of his absence. Synopsis: Larry is a construction supervisor who knows how to build just about anything-except a relationship with his eight-year-old son, Xavier. After missing Xavier's Career Day, Larry brings him to work at the Crown Boulevard construction site, where a dangerous situation forces the two of them to confront how distant they've become. That night, over ice cream, Xavier asks his dad about his work and the family legacy he's expecting to inherit. For the first time, Larry is forced to question whether everything he's built for his family has come at the cost of actually being there for them. Rate: Unpaid.
