About the project: Puffs, or: Seven Increasingly Eventful Years at a Certain School of Magic and Magic is a fast-paced, comedic reimagining of a famous seven-year wizarding saga, told entirely from the perspective of the Puffs—the school's most overlooked, ordinary, and enthusiastic house. The story centers on Wayne Hopkins, a totally regular orphan boy from New Mexico who discovers he is a wizard. Upon arriving at school, he is sorted into the Puffs alongside Oliver Rivers (a brilliant math nerd forced to learn magic) and Megan Jones (an angsty goth trying desperately to be evil). Together with their golden-boy leader, Cedric, this trio just wants to survive high school, pass their classes, and avoid getting collateral damage from a certain famous, scar-faced student who is always hogging the spotlight. As the years grow increasingly dangerous, dark, and eventful, the Puffs learn what it truly means to be a hero when you aren't the "Chosen One." It is a hilarious, heartfelt celebration of failure, friendship, and the people who finish in fourth place. Rate: All roles are unpaid, but we collect tips at each performance for the actors.
