Young Talent Audition for Musical "Fun Home"

ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Seeking singers ages 6-11 for musical "Fun Home". Please, see the details below. About the show: When her father dies unexpectedly, graphic novelist Alison dives deep into her past to tell the story of the volatile, brilliant, one-of-a-kind man whose temperament and secrets defined her family and her life. Moving between past and present, Alison relives her unique childhood playing at the family’s Bechdel Funeral Home, her growing understanding of her own sexuality, and the looming, unanswerable questions about her father’s hidden desires. Fun Home is a refreshingly honest, wholly original musical about seeing your parents through grown-up eyes. Rate: Members of Equity and ACTRA please note that as FRC produces shows on a volunteer, recreational basis, we will not pay any professional association fees, such as the fees stipulated by Equity's Amateur Guest Artist policy, under any circumstances whatsoever. Additional information: Callbacks will be held on Saturday October 10th, from 12 PM - 4 PM. Please note that there is a chance not all roles will be called, but we ask that you please be prepared to attend if needed. Those required for Callbacks will be notified after final auditions are complete. Run Dates: January 8th - 23rd 2027. Please come prepared to present the following: — One (1) song selected from the musical theatre repertoire. No specific style or genre required, but we are looking for big character choices. Please prepare a 90-120 second cut of the song. Directors request that you do not sing a song from Fun Home. — One (1) storytelling monologue of choice (1 minute max). Auditioners should upload the backing track for their song of choice to the website when submitting their audition information. No acapella auditions are accepted, and no accompanist will be available. Please note that you may also be asked to do a vocal range test as part of your audition. If you're interested, please apply.
