Seeking performers ages 6-18 years old for "Trolls The Musical Jr.". Please see the details below. About the project: Trolls JR. is based on the irreverent DreamWorks Animation movie franchise and features a colorful, wondrous world populated by hilariously unforgettable characters. The show follows the overly optimistic Trolls, constantly with a song on their lips, and the comically pessimistic Bergens, who are only happy when they have Trolls in their stomach. The Troll thespians in Poppy’s company live by their motto: the show must go on. But when a tyrannical foreign emissary arrives in Bergenland, expectations are raised, forcing the Trolls to totally rework their show or risk being served up in the name of diplomacy by a Chef rehired and out for revenge. Additional info: Auditions will consist of a monologue, song, and dance portion. You will learn the dance at auditions but should have your monologue and song learned and memorized before auditions. Monologues and songs for auditions are from the show and are available below. Please choose only one monologue and one song from the options to perform! There will be an optional (but encouraged!) audition workshop held at the rehearsal hall on November 7 @ 10:30 to 12, where you can learn the audition dance ahead of time and work on your song and monologue with the director. This workshop is designed to alleviate some of the stress that goes with auditioning and also to ensure that anyone who wishes will have the resources to feel prepared for their audition. Auditions start at the posted time with everyone learning the dance together and performing it for the director. Arrive early to allow time to fill out/turn in attached audition forms beforehand!
