Seeking Talent for "The Lion King Jr" Play
ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. Looking for talent ages 7+ for production of "The Lion King Jr". Please, see the details below. About the play: Rafiki gathers the animals of the Pridelands to celebrate the birth of Simba, the son of King Mufasa and Queen Sarabi. As Simba grows, Mufasa teaches him about the Circle of Life and his future role as king. Scar, Mufasa’s jealous brother, tricks Simba into visiting the dangerous Elephant Graveyard, where Simba and his friend Nala are attacked by hyenas before Mufasa rescues them. Determined to take the throne, Scar plots with the hyenas to kill Mufasa. He causes a wildebeest stampede and lures Simba into danger. Although Mufasa saves Simba, Scar murders his brother and blames Simba for the death. Feeling guilty, Simba runs away, allowing Scar to become king and lead the Pridelands into ruin. In exile, Simba is befriended by Timon and Pumbaa, who teach him their carefree lifestyle. Years later, Nala finds Simba and urges him to return home. With guidance from Rafiki and the memory of his father, Simba gains the courage to face his past. Simba returns to the Pridelands, confronts Scar, and learns the truth about Mufasa’s murder. After Scar is defeated, peace is restored. Simba becomes the rightful king, and the Circle of Life continues.
