Description:

Kids and teens are welcome to audition for "The Best Christmas Pageant Ever". Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: Based on the beloved novel by Barbara Robinson, The Best Christmas Pageant Ever follows the notorious Herdman kids — six of the worst-behaved children in town — as they take over the local church's Christmas pageant, with hilarious and heartwarming results. Additional info: No prior preparation is needed. Auditioners will be given at least two opportunities to perform, including cold readings from the script. For efficiency, please complete the attached Actor Audition Form in advance. Bring it to the auditions along with your resume or list of experiences, and a recent headshot or photo. If you do not have a photo, one will be taken at sign-in. Audition forms will also be available in the audition room — please arrive a half-hour early if you do not have a form filled out in advance. Please provide a schedule of conflicts from September 19, 2026, to November 28, 2026. Conflicts after November 28 are not accepted. Because the rehearsal process runs over several holidays, please be very thorough when listing your conflicts. Callbacks will be by invitation only. Performance times are Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday at 7:30 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday matinees at 2:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. Call time for actors is one hour before showtime. Rehearsals will tentatively begin on Saturday, September 19, and will be scheduled on two weekday evenings and one weekend morning or afternoon. Exact dates to be determined based on cast availability. Tech week rehearsals (November 28 – December 2) will be every day. Performance Dates: December 2 – 13, 2026 If interested, please apply.
