About the project: When an alluring outsider named Chris comes into their town, these humble farm folk do as they are called to and welcome this stranger with open arms. As the good Christians faithfully prepare for their favorite season, “Holy Week,” they select Chris to play the most sacred role of all. Only, they forget to let Chris in on his part. “Judas” is the recipient of the Reel Queer Film Festival Pitch Competition Audience Choice Award 2026 and will be screened at the festival next fall. Additional info: Shooting October 17th & 18th in Central, AR, and directors want YOU to represent the story of “Judas” by bringing this small-town religious bunch of Disciples to life!
