About the project: Discover the timeless magic of The Velveteen Rabbit, a heartwarming adaptation of Margery Williams’ beloved classic. When a shy stuffed rabbit is given to a young boy, he dreams of becoming “Real” through the power of love. Guided by the wise Skin Horse and surrounded by colorful nursery companions, the Rabbit learns that true beauty comes not from how we look, but from the love we share. Filled with humor, imagination, and touching moments, this enchanting play celebrates friendship, hope, and the enduring bonds that make us who we are. A treasured story for generations, The Velveteen Rabbit is a delightful theatrical experience that will warm the hearts of audiences of all ages. Additional info: Directors ask that participants arrive 15 minutes early to fill out paperwork and introduce themselves to the stage managers and directors. If you have a headshot and resume, please bring them (not required). There are no audition appointments, and actors do not need to prepare monologues. During each show’s audition, all actors will have an opportunity to demonstrate their skills in a group setting, with the director selecting sides and combinations of participants to read together or independently. Please be prepared to move and make bold choices! AUDITIONS FOR THIS PRODUCTION WILL TAKE PLACE IN PERSON AND CONSIST OF COLD READINGS FROM THE SCRIPT. First Rehearsal: Sunday, October 4th, 2026 Rehearsal Schedule: Sunday and Tuesday Evenings beginning at 7 pm.
