Youth performers invited to audition for “Little Women.” More information is provided below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: Marisha Chamberlain’s beautifully resonant adaptation of Louisa May Alcott’s classic novel brings the March sisters to life with warmth, humor, and heartbreak. Set against the backdrop of the American Civil War, the story follows Jo, Meg, Beth, and Amy as they navigate the transition from childhood to adulthood, discovering love, loss, and the power of family along the way. Rate: This is a volunteer opportunity. Additional info: First Rehearsal: Monday, October 19th Standard Weekly Schedule: Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays (7:00 PM – 10:00 PM) & Saturdays (2:00 PM – 5:00 PM). *Youth Actors will not regularly be kept late on weeknights. Thanksgiving Break: No rehearsals Wednesday, Nov 25th through Sunday, Nov 29th. Tech Week: Begins Monday, December 7th. Performances: Dec. 11th @ 7PM; Dec. 12th - 13th @ 2PM & 6:30PM WHAT TO PREPARE: Youth actors should prepare a verse of any Christmas carol (A cappella) and come in clothing ready for movement. Youth actors will audition in groups of 10. They will receive instructions and coaching during the audition. Please fill in one slot on the audition sign-up per actor. No prepared monologues are required. Bring a theatrical resume if possible, though it is not required. Please arrive ready to list any and all conflicts. Please DO NOT sign up for an audition time slot unless you are able to attend auditions & are available for the production Seeking actors who can portray children in the mid-1800s. Actors should also be comfortable singing carols during the pre-show and throughout the production. If you are interested please apply.
