ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Seeking talent ages 8-12 for upcoming original short film series exploring themes of sustainability and everyday choices! See the details below. Abbout the project: The series consists of 6 individual short films (approximately 1–2 minutes each), exploring plastic pollution from personal habits and convenience to economic pressures and global politics, and asking: what does convenience really cost? Rate: Each actor will be paid a stipend of $150 for their participation. Additional information: No experience is required. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis. Filming will take place on the following dates in Toronto: Sunday, September 20 Saturday, September 26 Sunday, September 27 Plus one overflow/pickup day — either Tuesday, September 29 or Saturday, October 10 (exact date TBD; used for overflow scenes, behind-the-scenes/cast interviews, or reshoots) Please note: Actors will be expected to participate in TWO of the three core filming dates (September 20, 26, and 27). Because directors are coordinating a larger production, please only apply if you can commit to all three core dates and are likely to be available for the overflow/pickup day as well. Lead. Needs to be natural and unaffected. The character's power comes from innocent honesty: kids state uncomfortable truths without malice or agenda. Casting should prioritize a child actor who can deliver a pivotal line plainly and sincerely, not cutely. The moment lands because it's guileless, not because it's clever.
