"Honk" Musical Needs Kids and Teens

Looking for kids ages 8 and up for "Honk" Musical. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: “Honk!” is a modern musical based on Hans Christian Andersen’s heart-warming story of “The Ugly Duckling” and features Ugly, a baby swan who is mistaken for an ugly duckling upon falling into his mother’s nest. It soon becomes clear that he is no ordinary duck. Mocked on the farmyard and pursued by the ever-hungry Cat, Ugly finds himself lost on a nearby marsh in the middle of a duck shoot and embarks on an odyssey through the countryside, meeting a battery of colorful characters and finding himself and love along the way. Additional info: The audition will require candidates to present a one-minute song and read from selections from the script. A short dance number will be taught to those auditioning as part of the audition process. Rehearsals for the show will commence the afternoon of Sept. 26 at PSHS, and then run from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday to Thursday from Sept. 29 into early November. Rehearsals will extend to 9 p.m. from Nov. 9 until the first performance on Nov. 19. It will be performed four times on the Pagosa Springs High School stage on the evenings of Nov. 19, 20, and 21, with an afternoon matinee on Nov. 21. Please see the attachment for details.
