About the project: Charles Dickens ' most beloved story returns to Hideaway for its third annual run. With what was our most successful show of the 2025-2026 season, we are thrilled to continue the family tradition this season. A Christmas Carol tells the story of Ebenezer Scrooge, a miserly and bitter old man who hates Christmas. On Christmas Eve, he is visited by the ghost of his former business partner, Jacob Marley, and the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Yet to Come. These supernatural encounters force Scrooge to confront his past mistakes, acknowledge the suffering of others, and envision a grim future if he continues his ways. Ultimately, Scrooge experiences a profound transformation, becoming a kind, generous, and joyful man who embraces the spirit of Christmas and humanity. Rate: Children's roles will not be paid. Additional info: Callbacks, if necessary, Oct 1, 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM In-person auditioners will present their monologue in person and need not submit a video. In-person auditions and callbacks will consist of cold reads/sides from the script. Children who do not have a monologue prepared can simply tell us about themselves and/or tell a story about their favorite Christmas​​ When applying, please send theatrical resume (if you have one), headshot (or selfie), and a monologue of 1:30 or less that best shows off your talent.
