Seeking boys for "Fishmouth" short film. See the details below. About the project: The film follows a little boy and his father navigating the aftermath of their town post-hurricane. The film deals with a child coming to terms with morality and understanding that his father won’t live forever, and tries to take life into his own hands and imagination by bringing a dead fish back to life. This film is very personal to me as a native Floridian with immigrant parents who have always been a lot older than me. Rate: This is an unpaid, credited opportunity. Directors are however able to accommodate housing and travel expenses. Additional info: Films from November 5th to 8th in Tallahassee, FL over the course of four shoot days. Quiet, observant, and imaginative, Fulano copes inward. He is a sensitive boy who expresses a deep fear of death through imagination. His hyper-fixation and aversion to age and the fragility of life manifest through videography of a dead fish. Must be comfortable handling a real non-living fish.

A canvas for peer pressure, Duke latches onto the cruelty and behavior of other boys in the neighborhood. He has an effortless confidence that draws younger kids to think he is a leader. He does not recognize the weight that others carry. Must be comfortable handling real fish. Must be comfortable smoking a fake cigarette.

Low-Tide Boys (featured)Male10-15 y.o.All ethnicities

A loud and impulsive group of local boys who feed off each other's energy. Must be comfortable handling a real nonliving fish.
