"The Empty Chair" Seeks Talents
During a hot California summer, five 10-year-old friends—Cole, Chloe, Rex, Dylan, and Bella—spend the day together at Cole and Chloe’s house. As their parents drop them off one by one, everything seems completely normal. But when the kids discover an old wooden chair in the garage, something about it feels wrong. Nobody remembers owning it, yet it keeps appearing in different places around the house. The family moves it, locks it away, and even watches it with a camera, but the chair always comes back. Soon, strange photographs and mysterious messages begin appearing, warning everyone to “LEAVE IT EMPTY.” The chair repeatedly turns toward the tiny, overgrown side yard, leading the kids and adults to uncover a mystery hidden among the plants. As the summer day turns into a frightening night, the family realizes the chair may have a connection to the house—and whatever happened there long ago. Together, they must uncover the truth before the chair’s final move.

He is dropped off at Cole and Chloe’s house by his parents, Carter and Millie, for a summer day with Cole, Chloe, Dylan, and Bella. At first, Rex thinks the chair is a joke, but as it keeps moving, he realizes something is wrong. Although nervous, Rex stays with his friends and helps investigate the photographs, notes, garage, and yard. He brings so much humor to the team.
Dylan is a thoughtful, adventurous, and observant 10-year-old who enjoys spending time with his friends during the California summer. He is dropped off at Cole and Chloe’s house by his mom, Willow, and quickly joins Cole, Chloe, Rex, and Bella for their day together. Dylan is often the one who notices small details that everyone else misses. When the mysterious chair begins moving around the house, he becomes interested in figuring out how it happened.
Bella is a confident, curious, and energetic 10-year-old girl who loves being around her friends. She is always ready for an adventure and isn’t afraid to speak her mind. Bella can be funny, playful, and a little stubborn when she thinks she’s right. She notices things that other people sometimes miss and often helps the group figure out what to do next. Even when things get scary or confusing, Bella tries to stay brave and keep everyone together.
