About the project: The Best Christmas Pageant Ever is a heartwarming and hilarious Christmas play based on Barbara Robinson’s beloved story. When the unruly Herdman children suddenly show up to take part in the annual church Christmas pageant, the whole town braces for disaster, but instead discovers the Christmas story with fresh eyes. Through their honest questions and unconventional approach, the Herdmans challenge long-held assumptions and remind everyone of the wonder, hope, and grace at the heart of the first Christmas. Filled with laughter, memorable characters, and a powerful message, this family favorite celebrates the transforming power of the Christmas story. Additional info: Callbacks: October 1, 6:00–9:00 PM Please sign up for a time slot and arrive 10–15 minutes early. Prepare a one-minute contemporary monologue. There is no need to bring a printed headshot or resume, as these will be collected through the digital audition form.
