Searching Boys for Play "Finding Neverland"

Invites boys, ages 6–14, to audition for four featured boy roles in the upcoming production of Finding Neverland. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: Finding Neverland tells the story of playwright J.M. Barrie, who befriends Sylvia Llewelyn Davies, a widowed mother of four young sons. Through his friendship and adventures with George, Jack, Peter, and Michael, Barrie finds the inspiration to create Peter Pan. Additional info: Auditions will last approximately one hour. Appointment times will be available at: ● 11:00 AM ● 12:00 PM ● 1:00 PM Each audition will include singing, dancing, and acting. HOW TO PREPARE Please help your child prepare the following: ● A song to sing at the audition ● Sheet music for the song or a backing track ● Comfortable clothing and shoes for movement and dancing Performers should also be ready to participate in a short acting portion and movement/dance exercises. No previous professional experience is required. We are most interested in seeing each child’s personality, imagination, and willingness to participate. PERFORMANCE DATES December 4 & 5 — 8 PM December 6 — 3 PM December 10 & 11 — 8 PM December 12 — 3 PM & 8 PM December 13 — 3 PM December 17 — 8 PM December 18 — 3 PM & 8 PM December 19 — 8 PM Please also hold December 20 at 3 PM in case a performance needs to be added or rescheduled. REHEARSALS Rehearsals begin in early September and will primarily take place on: ● Sunday evenings — 6–10 PM ● Monday evenings — 7–10 PM ● Wednesday evenings — 7–10 PM Additional rehearsals may be scheduled as needed.
