About the project: Set in Ojai during the COVID years, three restless teens become obsessed with the mystery of a reputed “haunted” house and the woman who may or may not still live there. What begins as a ghost story leads them into a decades-old disappearance of a young woman and the secrets buried within their own families…and the community. Note to talent: OVATE is an inclusive multimedia company. Actors under 18 must provide signed parental approval if cast. The directors are especially interested in Ventura County actors who · have strong vocal acting skills · can create vivid, emotionally grounded characters through voice alone · arrive prepared for recording sessions and can take both technical and performance direction with ease. NOTE: No memorization required, but familiarity with the script and your lines is a must. Actors selected for callbacks will be invited to a Zoom callback on September 12th.
