6 roles

Mistress FordFemale14-17 y.o.All ethnicities

Mistress Ford is a strong independent woman and in the spirit of girl power, she and Mistress Page decide to teach the men in their lives a lesson. She is successful in her plans and outwits the male characters proving herself to be a loyal wife but not without teaching her husband and Falstaff a lesson...don’t try and cross her or doubt her, you will regret it.

Francis FordMale14-17 y.o.All ethnicities

Ford is the jealous husband of Mistress Ford. Presumably, low self-esteem leads to him believing that Falstaff will succeed in seducing his wife, also a shameful lack of belief in his wife’s loyalty to him. He is not a man to do things by halves. He eventually comes to understand the truth. He is made to feel a little silly for not believing in her.

Mistress PageFemale14-17 y.o.All ethnicities

A middle-aged lady of Windsor who is fond of her husband George, though she has rather different ideas about who should marry their daughter Anne. She is astounded and infuriated to suddenly be wooed by Falstaff. She immediately thinks of causing him mischief, and also sees there an opportunity of helping Mistress Ford overcome her husband’s manic jealousy. An imaginative woman, she is well-respected by all.

George PageMale14-17 y.o.All ethnicities

Page is a much easier going character than Ford and does not believe that his wife will be seduced by Falstaff – this shows that he has faith in his wife and shows their relationship to be much more secure. However, he does not listen to his daughter about who she is in love with and is finally taught a lesson by her. He is well-aware of his place in society.

Mistress Anne PageFemale14-17 y.o.All ethnicities

She has an array of unworthy suitors, including Caius and Slender who her parents favor, but Anne is in love with Fenton. She is rather more intelligent than her suitor Slender, whom she has to put up with because of her father, and has no taste for the French Caius. In the end she is willing to deceive both her parents and elopes with Fenton and turns up with him to show her parents up and demonstrate that true love is more important. Has somewhat of a rebellious streak.

FalstaffMale14-17 y.o.All ethnicities

An old, white-bearded man with great self-esteem, he has no doubts about his attractiveness to the ladies, and intends to use this supposed seductiveness to get his hands on some ladies’ gold. Unfortunately for him he does not realize that he is not quite as much of a prize as he thinks, nor that both his targets (Mistress Page and Mistress Ford) are best friends and will show each other everything. He also does not think that his followers might ever turn on him.
