A weary business traveller unexpectedly finds himself spending the night at an elegant hotel. After being warned by the hotel manager to stay away from the mysterious Room 309, he begins hearing the sound of a woman crying from behind its locked door. Curiosity eventually draws him to the room’s keyhole—and to an encounter that blurs grief, memory, nightmare and the supernatural. ROOM 309 is an atmospheric, performance-driven period film built around restrained psychological tension, escalating dread and a haunting supernatural conclusion. Rate: This is a paid ACTRA production operating under the ACTRA Indie Production (AIP) Agreement. Performers will be engaged and compensated under the approved AIP terms applicable to their performer classification and booking. Background. A 1930s Hotel Selkirk bellhop who assists the Traveller with his luggage. Alert, attentive and quietly eager to serve hotel guests. Seeking: A performer who can convey attentive hotel service naturally through physical action.
SIX ROLES. Background. Period-dressed townspeople moving along the street and near the hotel as the Traveller arrives. Wardrobe will consist of appropriate 1930s-style suits, coats, hats and dresses as assigned by Production. Seeking: Performers with period-appropriate looks and availability for exterior work.
