ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. Seeking young talent for "The Sound of Music" play. See the details below. Rate: Non-professional and non-paid. Additional info: Will be staged from December 2 through 6, 2026. Callbacks by invitation only on Sunday August 30 starting at 2 pm All actors should prepare a song from The Sound of Music with background tracks. Actors auditioning for the von Trapp Children should be prepared to sing Do-Re-Mi with background tracks. Be prepared for cold reads from the script as well. Actors also have the option of preparing a second song from any musical (a 16-32 bar cut, providing your own background tracks) AND/OR a short monologue (Appx. one minute). Callbacks will consist of cold readings/singing from the show. Please bring a completed audition/release form and a current photo (within the past year, does not have to be professionally taken) with you to auditions. Be sure to reference the attached rehearsal/performance calendar for conflicts before committing to an audition. The performances will not include the song "Something Good" BUT will include "How Can Love Survive" (Max and Elsa), "No Way to Stop It" (Max, Elsa and Georg) and "An Ordinary Couple" (Maria and Georg). These songs are performed in the Tubi version. Children must be strong singers, comfortable with harmony, and confident onstage.
