About the project: Alex, a 16-year-old facing sarcoma, worries not about death itself, but about being remembered only as "the one who died." In an effort to preserve something more meaningful, his friends settle on one story to tell when people ask who Alex was: A night they all stayed up and biked across town to buy some PVC, and take it pole vaulting off a local dock. A simple night of high school stupidity, told as an attempt to contextualize how a life can go from the most something anything could be, to nothing. A simple night that will be retold, over and over again, as a way to share the weight and understanding of a lost life. Rate: Non union. Volunteer, IMDb Screen Credit and Craft Services. Seeking either a boy or girl child role. Ages 5-11, playing age 6, expressive and understanding speaking role, involves vague conversations about people passing away and a Christian prayer which is seen but not heard. 1 ⅜ page, will be acting across a father figure, single half-day shoot. No professional experience required.
Seeking two boys for non-speaking child role’s. Looking for ages 6-12, playing age 6-10, looking for energetic kids, will be playing in a backyard, with a mother figure present in the scene. No prepared dialogue, just general backyard horse-ing around. Will be max 3 hours of shooting, most-likely 2 or less. MUST plausibly look like a younger version of either of these two roles *Matt & Alex*. No professional experience required.
