Casting actors ages 8 and up for an Upcoming Film. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: It’s the first day of Christmas break, and Jacob is doing all his favorite things - playing hockey, ignoring his family, and bullying strangers. At the end of the day, he gets an offer to retry the day again. Intrigued, he accepts, starting a time loop that repeats the day until he learns an important lesson. With the help of his best friend, Caleb, he works to decode the mysterious text messages he’s getting and make some important changes in his attitude towards others. Will he be able to break the loop? Rate: Credit, copy, meals. (LEAD) All ethnicities, athletic. Self-centered middle school boy from an upper-middle-class family. Jacob is perfectly happy being the center of his own universe and making himself the center of other people’s as well. He learns an important lesson. Jacob plays on a junior hockey team, so ice skating ability is a plus, but absolutely NOT necessary. Please audition even if you don’t play hockey.
(LEAD) All ethnicities, athletic, Jacob’s best friend. Caleb is thoughtful and kind. His family is going through a tough time financially. He acts as the voice of reason for his friend Jacob and helps Jacob on his journey to learn an important lesson. Caleb plays on a junior hockey team, so ice skating ability a plus, but absolutely NOT necessary. Please audition even if you don’t play hockey.
(SUPPORTING) Very small for their age, all ethnicities, all genders, Latino/Latina/Latinx. Luca is trying to make some money on the first day of Christmas break by shoveling the neighbors’ driveways. Plays an important part in the lesson Jacob must learn.
(CO-STAR) All ethnicities, female. Jacob’s big sister, who is generally annoyed at his existence. She thinks her little brother is a dork, as any good big sister does. She appears in one flashback scene and in one repeated scene at Jacob’s house. (1-2 lines)
