As the remaining members confront their own doubts and quirks, they also face resistance from skeptical locals, bureaucracy, and a world that seems to have moved away from honoring God. With a mix of heartfelt moments and laugh-out-loud humor, the series highlights the challenges of staying true to one’s mission in the face of adversity. Each episode delves into the unique dynamics of the congregation, from the fiery debates at city council meetings to the awkward yet endearing attempts to recruit new members. Whether it’s hosting ill-fated fundraisers, navigating small-town gossip, or finding faith in unexpected places, the group’s journey is filled with both triumphs and setbacks.
