About the project: A gripping tale of passion, betrayal, and duty set in a world on the brink of revolution, Norma tells of a Druid priestess in love with the head of the invading Roman army. When he falls in love with another woman, secrets unravel, and loyalties are tested in Bellini’s sweeping drama, set to a score full of profound beauty and electrifying fury. Experience this legendary 1831 bel canto masterpiece, performed in Wisconsin for the very first time. Rate: Paid gig: Each Super gets a fee of $100, parking at the Opera’s garage, and complimentary tickets to a performance. Additional info: These are non-speaking, non-singing roles. The kids are on stage for two scenes during the opera, approximately 5-10 min each. Kids must be able to follow directions, play quietly on their own on stage, pretend to sleep for 10 min, and tolerate loud singing, exciting stage environments, and bright lights. A parent or guardian chaperone must be present during rehearsals and performances. Time commitment is Oct 10-Nov 1, 2026. Rehearsals are evenings and weekends, but not all.
