"Hope Among The Cosmos" (Student Short Film)

"Hope Among the Cosmos" is a 15-minute sci-fi short. Set in 2130, it follows Xander, a father and survivor, and his young daughter Mina after a trade route goes wrong. Young Xander appears in flashback. Role: YOUNG XANDER, male, 8–11. Flashback version of the film's lead. Preferred: African-American, mixed race, or biracial. Shoot dates: One day in October 2026, exact date TBD. This role shoots separately from the main production schedule. Date confirmed at least three weeks in advance. Location: Rockford, IL area Compensation: IMDb Credit, and reel footage. Recasting due to a scheduling conflict. Parents, please read: The film contains staged violence, fake blood, and some dark dramatic moments. Everything on set is choreographed and supervised, and nothing unsafe happens.
