Seeking Kids and Teens for "Les Misérables" Show
Looking for actors ages 10 and up for the "Les Misérables" Show. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: While not a traditional Christmas musical, Les Misérables contains one of literature's most memorable Christmas stories. On Christmas Eve, Jean Valjean rescues young Cosette from a life of abuse, setting in motion a story of compassion, redemption, hope, and the transformative power of love. It's a beautiful reminder of the spirit of the season in an unexpected setting. Additional info: All performers must be available for all technical rehearsals and performances. A complete list of conflicts must be provided at auditions. Rehearsals will start shortly after casting on Sundays for Music only. After GREY HOUSE ends, directors will amp up, Sun through Thurs. Vocal range: Unchanged voice, B3–G5 A young street urchin left to survive by his intelligence and wit on the streets of Paris. The son of the Thénardiers, he resents his parents and lives independently. We will cast two young actors to alternate nightly between the roles of Gavroche and Petit Gervais.
Fantine’s daughter, who has endured hardship and child labor at the hands of the Thénardiers. Sympathetic, innocent, and resilient. Two young actresses will be cast to alternate nightly between Young Cosette and Young Eponine, or one child will play both roles - this is TBD
Non-singing and non-speaking role The pampered and spoiled daughter of the Thénardiers, who bullies Young Cosette. Two young actresses will be cast to alternate nightly between Young Cosette and Young Eponine. Ensemble: . Every performer will have featured moments, solos, duets, etc, and significant stage time, making each role an essential part of telling the story.
MEMBERS OF THE ABC SOCIETY and ENSEMBLE and THÉNARDIER’S GANG These performers will also portray a variety of additional roles throughout the production Courfeyrac, Combeferre, Feuilly, Joly, Grantaire, Lesgles, and Jean Prouvaire Members of a secret society of students and workers who become leaders of the revolution under Enjolras. THÉNARDIER’S GANG - Montparnasse, Babet, Brujon, and Claquesous Dangerous and threatening members of Thénardier’s gang of thieves.
