About the project: Named TIME Magazine’s “Best Musical of the Decade,” Billy Elliot The Musical is a spectacular production filled with heart, humor, and passion. Based on the international smash-hit film and featuring a score by Elton John, this astonishing theatrical experience is set in a northern English town during the 1984 miners’ strike. It follows a young boy’s inspirational struggle to defy the odds and pursue his dreams, discovering a passion for dance that transforms his family, his community, and his life. Additional info: The directors are hosting a free, limited-space workshop for boys ages 9–12 who are interested in auditioning for the upcoming production of BILLY ELLIOT THE MUSICAL.
