"Dr. Experimentor and the League of Evil" Needs Kids
Students in fourth through eighth grade are welcome to audition for "Dr. Experimentor and the League of Evil". Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: Dr. Experimentor, a mastermind supervillain, must fight to maintain his membership in the infamous League of Evil. There’s just one problem — membership means defeating superhero Extremo, who happens to be his best friend! To make matters worse, Dr. Experimentor faces relentless pressure from Agnes and Abigail Anarchy, ambitious upstart villains eager for his downfall. Armed with his arsenal of ingenious inventions — minions, Vegetarian Zombies, Pacifist Ninjas, and Robot Soldiers — Dr. Experimentor faces an impossible choice: defeat his superhero or suffer at the hands of the League! Additional info: How to Prepare for the Audition: Students should bring a current, non-returnable photo, their completed attached audition form, and be accompanied by one parent or guardian. What to Expect at the Audition: Students will be called to the stage in groups of five and asked to introduce themselves and read lines from the script. A sample of the script used at auditions (a side) is attached. Please note, these lines do NOT need to be memorized. Directors just like the students to have a chance to read through it before they see it on stage for the first time. Students only need to attend one time. The read-through will be on August 27, 2026, at 4:30 pm, with a parent meeting at 6 pm, at Hope Church, 200 N Fremont St. Regular rehearsals will start on August 31, 2026, and will be on Mondays, Tuesdays & Thursdays. Not all cast members will need to attend all rehearsals. You will receive a rehearsal schedule at the read-through. Two Wednesday rehearsals will be added at the end of the rehearsal cycle. Rehearsals will be held at Hope Church until the final two weeks of production, then at Tibbits Opera House, and will be mandatory. New this cycle, directors will hold costume fittings on Wednesdays at The Costume Shop in the basement of the Tibbits Administration Offices.
