Seeking Teens for "The Hunchback of Notre Dame" Show

Students in grades 9 through 12 are welcome to audition for "The Hunchback of Notre Dame". Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: Featuring a sweeping score by Alan Menken and Stephen Schwartz, The Hunchback of Notre Dame combines powerful choral music, dynamic movement, and compelling storytelling. This large-scale production will bring together student actors, singers, and dancers to perform on the historic Palace Theatre stage. Additional info: Students should prepare: -Approximately 32 bars, or 1 to 1.5 minutes, of a musical theatre song in the style of the production or from The Hunchback of Notre Dame -A selection that demonstrates vocal ability, storytelling, and connection to the material -Clearly marked sheet music in a three-ring binder -Appropriate clothing and footwear for the movement and dance call Students interested in principal roles are encouraged to become familiar with the show’s major musical selections before auditions. Callbacks by invitation: Tuesday, August 18, from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m.REHEARSAL DATES Rehearsals will be held Sunday through Thursday evenings from 5:00 to 8:30 p.m. • September 8 through 11 2026 • September 13 through 17 2026 • September 20 through 24 2026 • September 27 through October 1, 2026 Mandatory technical rehearsals will take place from October 3 through 8 from 5:00 to 9:30 p.m. PERFORMANCES AT THE PALACE THEATRE Friday, October 9 9:30 a.m. Student Matinee 7:30 p.m. Evening Performance Saturday, October 10 7:30 p.m. Evening Performance Sunday, October 11 3:00 p.m. Closing Performance The Friday morning student matinee is a required performance. Participating students will receive an official letter that may be submitted to their schools to request an excused educational absence.
