About the project: Tom Stoppard's The Real Thing is an intelligent, funny, and deeply human exploration of love, fidelity, art, and the difference between performance and authenticity. The play follows a group of actors, writers and lovers as their personal and professional lives intertwine in surprising ways. This production places a strong emphasis on truthful, emotionally grounded performances. Actors should be comfortable with language-driven scripts, nuanced relationships, and collaborative text analysis. There are very few "correct" interpretations of these characters. Curiosity, flexibility, and a willingness to explore will be valued more highly than polished performances. Additional info: CALLBACKS BY INVITATION ONLY: Wednesday, September 2 at 7:00 pm. Actors called back will be notified within a day. SHOW RUN: January 8 through January 31, 2027 INDUSTRY NIGHT: Monday, January 18, 2027, at 7:30 pm. PERFORMANCES: Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 pm, Sundays at 2 pm. Second and fourth Saturdays, January 15 & January 29, 2027, are 2:00 matinees; no evening performance.
