Teens Needed for "Guys and Dolls" Show

Students ages 13-18 are welcome to audition for the "Guys and Dolls" Show. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: Hailed as the perfect musical comedy, this award-winning classic gambles with luck and love under the bright lights of Broadway. Guys and Dolls takes us from the heart of Times Square to the cafes of Havana, Cuba, and even into the sewers of New York City, but eventually everyone ends up right where they belong. Additional info: Students will prepare 16-32 measures of a song in the style of the show. Please do not sing a song from the show. Students will need to bring a device with the song track on it (no additional vocals, please). Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your audition time. Students will also participate in a cold read of the script with peers in their audition group. For the dance call, students will learn a dance combination. Please wear comfortable clothing and either jazz or athletic shoes. An audition form will be sent to each student the week before auditions. Rehearsals begin September 10. They will be held on Monday and Thursday evenings, 5:30–8:30 PM, at Prairie Creek Baptist Church in Plano Tech week rehearsals will be held from 5–10 PM from November 9–12.
