Seeking Kids for Youth Playwriting Festival

Seeking youth actors ages 10-17 for the 3rd Annual Youth Playwriting Festival. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: Youth Playwriting Festival, a celebration of short plays written by young authors from across Maine. Additional info: Actors rehearse each play once a week for four weeks and perform during Festival Weekend. Casting depends heavily on availability within the festival schedule and on the proper fit for the part. Rehearsals: A Festival Kickoff meeting will be held on Thursday, September 17, at 6 pm. Each play will rehearse one hour a week for four weeks, September 21 - October 15. Tech rehearsal: Friday, October 16, from 6 pm - 9 pm Festival Weekend: October 17-18, 2026. A draft of the production calendar can be found here. This calendar is subject to change. YPF Calendar Draft is attached. Auditions will be a virtual submission. All videos are due by August 20.
