"A Christmas Story" The Musical Needs Kids
Kids and teens are invited to audition for "A Christmas Story" the Musical. Please see the details below. About the project: "A Christmas Story" the Musical is Broadway’s musical comedy gift! Based on the classic movie, this musical captures holiday wonder with funny and heartfelt songs, a kooky leg lamp, outrageous pink bunny pajamas, and a triple-dog-dare to lick a freezing flagpole. It is full of delicious wit and a heart of gold! Additional info: Callbacks are tentatively scheduled for September 18th (dates are subject to change) Please prepare a verse of an up-tempo Broadway standard song that highlights your range. He is a bright, winsome, mischievous, and cute kid. The type that you wouldn’t mind having as a neighbor. Ralphie’s imagination tends to run wild at times as he dreams of the Red Ryder Carbine Action BB Gun he desires for Christmas. Vocal range: F#3 to D5
Ralphie’s younger brother. He is cute, cuddly, and lovable, but also whiny. He revels in being the baby of the family to his advantage. He looks up to his brother despite not seeing eye to eye with him at times. Vocal range: F#3 to D5.
One of Ralphie’s best friends. He’s a bit of a know-it-all.
Ralphie’s other best friend. Can’t refuse a triple dog dare.
This truant is a year or two older than Ralphie and is a textbook example of a schoolyard bully. Scut is loud, obnoxious, and intimidating.
Grover is Farkus’s toady and is always at his side. Younger and smaller than Farkus, Grover idolizes Farkus and delights assisting him with his dastardly deeds.
Kids’ Ensemble is heavily featured throughout the show. This group contains various classmates and supporting parts. Including but not limited to: Mary Beth, Nancy, and Esther Jane.
