"In The Heights" A New Musical Needs Teens

Seeking performers ages 17 and up for "In The Heights," A New Musical. Please see the details below. Additional info: What to Expect & Prepare: Prepare two songs showcasing your best vocal abilities. Avoid songs from the show, sacred church music, and opera. The musical style of the show is blended with hip-hop, Latin rhythms, and traditional Broadway music. USNAVI & BENNY: Include a rap or hip-hop style selection. Other Lin-Manuel Miranda music selections are allowed. You may use lyrics, music score, earbuds, or your device May accompany yourself with an instrument. A piano is available. An audition is on stage in front of others. No private auditions. You will be asked to cold-read scenes from the script WEAR COMFORTABLE SHOES AND CLOTHES FOR DANCING: You will learn some movement steps to dance a little to see how you move and find the beat/rhythm of the music. Rehearsals start on Sunday, August 16th, 6:00 pm-9:00 pm Future rehearsals are scheduled at first on either Saturday and/or Sunday. Weekday rehearsals added after October 4th.
