Child Auditions for Musical Production "Matilda"

Auditions open for young performers for “Matilda”. See the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Additional info: Dance segment learned from the video posted online on the GSL Choirs YouTube channel beginning Friday, August 7 at 12:00 PM. Read from scenes provided at auditions (characters will vary, depending on desired roles) Character work, such as trying out a different walk or accent Scale with keyboard accompaniment (on any vowel, such as “ah” or “ooh”) - to check vocal range Choose a musical theater piece (or another song of your choice) to prepare that you feel showcases your voice and range (memorization not required). Please note that you may not have to sing the full piece at your audition. You may sing accompanied or a cappella; you will need to provide your own accompaniment if you choose to use one.
