About the project: Frozen: The Musical brings the beloved Disney film to life on stage with a sweeping score, breathtaking visuals, and a deeper exploration of the bond between two sisters. Set in the kingdom of Arendelle, the story follows Princess Elsa, who possesses powerful ice magic she struggles to control, and her younger sister Anna, whose optimism and courage drive the heart of the tale. After Elsa accidentally reveals her abilities and plunges the kingdom into an eternal winter, she flees to the mountains, determined to protect those she loves by isolating herself. Anna sets out on a daring journey to find her sister and restore summer, joined by rugged ice harvester Kristoff, his loyal reindeer Sven, and the warm-hearted snowman Olaf. Along the way, Anna discovers the complexities of love, trust, and sacrifice, while Elsa confronts her fears and learns that her powers are not a curse but a gift. The musical expands on the film with new songs by Kristen Anderson Lopez and Robert Lopez, offering richer emotional depth and character development, particularly for Elsa as she grapples with identity and self-acceptance. With dazzling stagecraft, innovative puppetry, and powerful vocal performances, Frozen: The Musical transforms a modern classic into an epic theatrical experience. Next in line for the throne, Elsa has been born with magical powers that can overwhelm her when she becomes afraid and harm others if not handled with care. Fearful of hurting anyone, especially her beloved sister, Anna, Elsa becomes anxious and withdrawn as she grows older, before eventually learning to take control of, and become confident in, her powers.
Filled with a tremendous amount of light, energy and love, Anna is a hopelessly optimistic extrovert at all ages, but as she grows older, she longs for connection with others, especially her sister, Elsa. She is a warm and determined princess that is a strong singer with great comic timing.
Includes the following roles: Townspeople, Snowflakes Chorus, Hidden Folk, Castle Staff, Housekeeper, Butler, Handmaiden, Cook, Steward, Guards, Summer Chorus, Oaken's Family. The ensemble audition might include a dance round and a music round. If so, everyone will learn a short routine and then take part in a brief singing section.
