"Pretty Little Monsters"
LMU Graduate Student Film. This is a campy dark comedy set backstage at a children's beauty pageant. In the spirit of 'Drop Dead Gorgeous,' 'Mean Girls,' & 'Toddlers & Tiaras,' the film follows a young mother who enters her seven-year-old daughter into a local pageant to help her fit in, only to realize the biggest competition isn't on stage. It's between the mothers backstage.

Deadpan, observant, and wonderfully odd. Bonnie isn't like the other little girls in the pageant, and that's exactly what makes her special. She isn't impressed by glitter, trophies, or ballgowns. She'd rather read Stephen King than win a tiara. The pageant may be trying to change her, but Bonnie has no interest in becoming anyone else. Her greatest love is her mom, Dani.
Tracy Lynn's daughter. Beautiful, polished, and fluent in pageant politics. Paisleigh has inherited her mother's smile and her gift for manipulation. Perfect curls. Perfect smile. Perfect manners. She's spent her whole life learning that appearances are everything.
