About the project: Synopsis: A group of kids turn their suburban cul-de-sac into an NHL fantasy. The kids gather to play street hockey, competing for a Stanley Cup made out of tinfoil. Each kid dresses as their favorite player and imitates them. Meanwhile, two other kids sit in a cardboard broadcast booth and pretend to be sports announcers, commentating on the game into hairbrushes (their mics). At the end of the spot, the adults show up and threaten to end the fun. An enthusiastic, earnest young kid who is a diehard hockey fan; a bookworm with an encyclopedic knowledge of the NHL; He/She's a bit nerdier than his/her cooler announcer counterpart; both announcer kids love hockey, but this kid knows hockey; and is more than eager to tell you what he/she knows; while announcing, he/she leans 100% into his/her theatrical “announcer” voice; production will comply with all entertainment industry standards for working with youth on set.
