Rib Lake High School students entering grades 9–12 are welcome to audition for the "You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown" Show. Please see the details below. About the project: You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown is a fun and heartwarming musical. Through a series of funny and relatable scenes and songs, the show follows Charlie Brown, Snoopy, Lucy, Linus, Sally, and Schroeder as they navigate friendship, school, imagination, love, insecurities, and the ups and downs of growing up. Filled with humor, charm, and memorable music, the show celebrates the simple moments of childhood while reminding audiences that even ordinary days can be meaningful and special. Additional info: No prior theater experience is necessary. WHAT TO BRING TO AUDITIONS: -The attached audition packet is completely filled out. -Come prepared to read a monologue (attached) for a character of your choice or prepare your own. You will be considered for all roles regardless of choice. -Wear clothes you are comfortable moving/dancing in. -Come prepared to sing! You can either choose a musical theater selection that showcases your voice from a different show or a provided song from the show. Script Pick Up & First Read Through: Monday, August 17th | 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM Regular rehearsals: will run for about 8 weeks starting in September. Rehearsals will take place on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays | 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tech Week: Begins November 2 and runs through the following week. More than likely, we will use the weekend of November 6, 7, and 8 as the final tech rehearsal. Performance 1: Friday, November 13 | School-only performance time to be determined. Performance 2: Friday, November 13 | 7:00 PM Performance 3: Saturday, November 14 | 2:00 PM Strike & Cast Party: Saturday, November 14, after the show. If interested, please apply.
