About the project: This show follows enigmatic candy manufacturer, Willy Wonka, as he stages a contest by hiding golden tickets in five of his scrumptious candy bars. Whomever comes up with these tickets will win a free tour of the Wonka factory, as well as a lifetime supply of candy. Four of the five winning children are insufferable brats: the fifth is a likeable young lad named Charlie Bucket, who takes the tour in the company of his equally amiable grandfather. The children must learn to follow Mr. Wonka's rules in the factory...or suffer the consequences! Additional info: 4 Performances: April 16–18, 2027 Audition Dates: January 11 and 12, 2027, at 6:30 PM. Invited callbacks will be held on January 13 at 6:30 PM. Performance Dates: April 16, 17, and 18. There will be 4 shows over ONE weekend this year. Friday and Saturday at 7 pm, and Saturday and Sunday at 2 pm. Sorry, no livestreaming is available for this title. Rehearsals Begin: Monday, January 25 Please prepare a short song (approximately one minute or 16–32 bars) that showcases your best vocal abilities. Your selection should be stylistically or thematically similar to the music in the show, but we do not recommend auditioning with a song from the musical itself. Bring one of the following: Sheet music or an instrumental track (no background vocals) on your phone, MP3 player, iPad, or similar device. You should be prepared to connect your device via Bluetooth to our Bose speaker. If you prefer, you may bring your own small speaker connected to your device. Please see the attachment for details.
