Boy Needed for "The Addams Family Musical"

About the project: THE ADDAMS FAMILY, a comical feast that embraces the wackiness in every family, features an original story and a dilemma that’s every father’s nightmare: Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, has grown up and fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family—a man her parents have never met. And if that wasn’t upsetting enough, Wednesday confides in her father and begs him not to tell her mother. Now, Gomez Addams must do something he’s never done before—keep a secret from his beloved wife, Morticia. Everything will change for the whole family on the fateful night they host a dinner for Wednesday’s “normal” boyfriend and his parents. Additional info: This production requires a minimum intermediate level of dance ability for many characters. HOW TO PREPARE: The Singing: Be prepared with an approx. song. 1 minute in length that best showcases your voice. Please bring along your own backing track on a Bluetooth-enabled device. YouTube karaoke tracks are your friend! For newer auditioners' comfort, a monitor with karaoke tracks will be available if needed. The Dancing: A movement combination will be taught at auditions. The Acting: Performers wishing to audition for specific roles may be asked to read sides/scenes from the script. Auditions may vary in length at the director's discretion, not to exceed one hour, and will be conducted in groups of five. Rehearsal Days: Tuesdays, Thursdays & Fridays, 6 pm-9 pm, and occasional Saturdays, 10 am-2 pm. Performers will only be required to attend rehearsals to which they are called. NOTE: This is a change from past rehearsal days. Please ensure this works for your schedule prior to auditioning. Performance Dates: October 16, 17, 18, 23, 24, 25.
