Seeking Boys and Girls for Christmas Show
Audition for "White Christmas" Show. All performers over the age of 16 are encouraged to audition. Performers under the age of 16 will only be seen for the role of Susan. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Additional info: Attire: • Please wear something that is suitable for moving/dancing. • If you tap dance, please bring tap shoes. Note: • Show Dates: December 3-13 • Rehearsals begin the last week of September. Most rehearsals will be on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. Tech Week is mandatory and begins 11/29 (the Sunday after Thanksgiving) Audition Process: All performers will rotate through three separate phases: Vocal Audition: Susan Waverly o 16 bars of a song of your choice. Provide sheet music in the proper key for our pianist. o Prepare to sing “Let Me Sing, and I’m Happy” All Other Roles/Ensemble/Dancers o Be prepared to sing “White Christmas” Movement audition: • ALL: General movement/dance audition • Judy/Phil/Dancers: Dance audition includes a tap combination. The General’s granddaughter, Susan is a lovable and outgoing real kid. She is very smart, wise beyond her years, and cares deeply about her grandfather. Once bitten hard by the showbiz bug, she demonstrates everything that is winning in the ultimate child performer. She must have an excellent belt voice and be able to move well.
