About the project: An independent feature film based on a true story — a father and his teenage son, two stranded snowmobiles, and a one-mile walk through the Upper Peninsula that became a twenty-two-hour fight for their lives. Long Cold Night is an indie film based on a true story of a father and his teenage son who get their snowmobiles stuck on a small river in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan in the dead of winter. They abandon their machines on the ice to walk out — and what should have been a one-mile walk turns into a twenty-two-hour fight for their lives, in a blizzard and forty-below-zero temperatures. Additional info: This story centers on endurance, family, and faith. The directors are creating it in Little Falls, Minnesota, and nearby areas, and they are looking for people to help bring it to life. Experience is welcome but not required.
