"Oliver" The Musical Seeks Kids and Teens
Looking to cast kids for "Oliver" The Musical. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Additional info: What to prepare: Prepare 16-32 bars of a musical theatre song. An accompanist will be available. Bring sheet music in the correct key, or a backing track. Be prepared to read from the script or sing from the show if asked. Callbacks Callbacks will be by appointment the week of July 28-30. Show Run The Show Runs as follows: Nov 20 - Dec 6 (3 weekends) Rehearsals Rehearsals will be 2 - 3 days a week (usually Tues & Thurs from 7:30-10:30, with some Saturdays 1-4 pm). Not everyone is called for all rehearsals. Tech week is Nov 15 - 19. There are two tech/dress rehearsals for the Nassau County shows. If interested, please apply.

The protagonist of the story, he is a lonely orphan boy born in the Work-house. He is vulnerable but tough and feisty and should have a strong ability to convey real emotions. Very energetic, highly personable, intelligent and savvy beyond his years, Fagin’s right hand “man”. Excellent song and dance skills. Must have a dynamic stage presence. Supporting Role. Nancy’s loyal friend who is one of Fagin’s former pickpockets. Cockney accent required. Songs: It’s a Fine Life, I’d Do Anything. Vocal range top: G5 / Vocal range bottom: Ab3
Supporting Role. The rude but also flirtatious daughter of the Sowerberrys. Cockney accent required.
Supporting Role. A nasty piece of work who is Mr Sowerberry’s pimply apprentice. Enjoys a flirty relationship with Charlotte. Cockney accent preferred.
Part of Fagin’s gang. The eldest boy. Non-Singing
