Seeking teen performers for Shakespeare Summer Shorts: "A Midsummer Showcase". Please see the details below. About the project: The "Shakespeare Shorts" showcase is a family-friendly evening of live theatre featuring multiple short scenes from Shakespeare's plays, performed outdoors in summer. Additional info: Auditions will consist of cold readings. In addition, performers should prepare and bring a Shakespeare sonnet, scene, or soliloquy of their choice. (Auditioners may read from a script; memorization is not required.) Comedies - mistaken identity, wit, and romance Tragedies - love, fate, and heartbreak Histories - power, kings, and betrayal Featuring scenes from: Much Ado About Nothing, Twelfth Night, Romeo and Juliet, Hamlet, Richard III, and more.
