About the project: "THE ADDAMS FAMILY", a comical feast that embraces the wackiness in every family, features an original story and a dilemma that’s every father’s nightmare: Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, has grown up and fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family—a man her parents have never met. And if that wasn’t upsetting enough, Wednesday confides in her father and begs him not to tell her mother. Now, Gomez Addams must do something he’s never done before—keep a secret from his beloved wife, Morticia. Everything will change for the whole family on the fateful night they host a dinner for Wednesday’s “normal” boyfriend and his parents. Additional info: Performances will be held Friday nights, Saturday nights, and Sunday afternoon from October 23 - November 8, with a Thursday evening performance on October 29. Please prepare 16-32 bars (roughly 30 seconds to 1 minute) of a musical theatre song of your choice. Songs from the show are acceptable, and recommended songs for each character are listed in the character descriptions. If you are bringing your own song, please bring sheet music. An accompanist will be provided. Please wear or bring clothing and footwear appropriate for movement, as all auditioners will be asked to learn a short dance combination.
